"Survivor": Just Becuase
In honor of the new "Survivor" debuting this week, here's a classic gaffe to give people an idea of what to look for when appreciating producer Mark Burnett's attention to detail. And this is no third-rate cable job, mind you, but the #1 show in the country.

CNNMoney's Republican Balk
This just in from CNNMoney--Dems say they reached an agreement, but Republican balk! Look, I know we're in the midst of an economic crisis here, but let's not add to the confusion with hasty headlines.

Michael Moore Off Base with Camp Pendelton
I'm sure Michael Moore had the best of intentions when he tried to honor soldiers in this scene from his new film "Slacker Nation," but spelling the name of the base wrong is kinda bush-league. It's Camp Pendleton, Mike. But thanks for the free movie.

"SNL" Pulls a Boner with Weiners
Though this mistake from last night's "Saturday Night Live" is pretty common and probably just another case of a graphics department with no sense of spell checking, we can't believe that nobody caught it in time, especially considering that cast member Kenan Thompson just starred in the 2008 road trip comedy "Wieners."

ESPN brings the hoise Boise!
My friend Pete caught this one on ESPN.com this morning. The Ducks are actually hosting Boise St., but in honor of the overeager headline writer at ESPN who didn't have time to run a spell check, let's hoist a beer and shout "Hoise Boise!" for every Broncos score today. And next week, too. Aw hell, forever.

XBox LIVE's Metallica Death Magnet
Groundbreaking new format to introduce new albums by veteran rock giants? Check. Multi-million dollar campaign to promote said debut in print and video media? Check. Clueless graphics guy who implements the "Download Today" button out of the purview of the copy editor? Whoops.
Runner-up honors go to Country Music Television, who I suppose can be forgiven for not caring as much about things that don't boot scoot (see it here). And a special Flagrancy Award goes to UGO's "Hip Online" for sticking to their guns no less than six times on their review page below. How hip is that?

Give Brady Quinn Some Space
I'm a big Cleveland Browns fan and I look forward to great things from upstart QB Brady Quinn, though I find it premature to accord him the kind of mono appello status bestowed upon tried-and-proven stars like Morrissey, Charo and Jackée.
